When you travel to Sai Gon, you should not miss the attractive places such as: Phu Quoc Island, Cai Be floating market, Can Tho, Cu Chi Tunnels, etc. Here we would like to introduce to you some destinations in the South of Vietnam.

  1. Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City (also called Saigon) is the largest and most populous city of Vietnam. It is over three hundred years old and famous with the number of motorcycles and crazy traffic. There are many high-rise buildings, recreation areas, busy shopping center, the old mansions and local markets. Especially Ben Thanh market sold everything such as clothing, shoes, souvenirs, food and much more. For other views, tourist can visit some outstanding places such as Sai Gon post office, Sai Gon Notre Dame Catheral, People’s commitee, Reunification Palace, War Remnant Museum, Saigon Opera House, China town, Thien Hau Temple, The Jade Emperor Pagoda.

  1. Mekong Delta

 

The Mekong Delta also known as the Western Region or the South-western region with 39,000 square kilometres is the region in southwestern Vietnam where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea through a network of distributaries. This is a peaceful countryside with rivers, rice fields, marsh, pagodas and floating markets. In the Western trip, you will experience rice culture, watch the natural ecological environment, the orchards and canal network. There are some famous places as: Ben Tre, My Tho City, Can Tho City, Cai Be Floating Market.

Especially Cai Rang Floating Market in Can Tho is an unique market in the Mekong Delta with the bustling atmosphere in the early morning, visitors can enjoy both the beauty of the crowded urban areas of the West and the idyllic beauty of local citizens.

  1. Cu Chi Tunnels

Cu Chi is a suburban district of Ho Chi Minh City with a distance about 70 kilometers. During the American War from 1967, it served as base for the 269th Aviation Battalion of the United States Army.

  1. Phu Quoc Island

Phu Quoc is known as the pearl of Vietnam with a hidden beauty in Kien Giang Province with area of 574 square kilometres. It is the biggest island of Vietnam located at the southernmost tip of Vietnam in the Gulf of Siam.

This is an spectacular coastal destination with some interesting attractions such as: pepper fields, pagoda, fish sauce manufacturer, waterfalls, pearls from the local oysters, a prisoner of war.

In the other hand, tourists can play with the waves on the white sand coast, watch a beautiful sunset or go fishing for the squid at night here.

  1. Vung Tau Beach

Vung Tau is beach city of Ba Ria–Vung Tau Province with 140 square kilometres. This is a getaway for many of the city-residents from close by Saigon. There are French style mansions in the hills and elegantly styled homes everywhere.

Other popular places to visit in Vung Tau South Vietnam: Statue of Jesus Christ with outstretched arms, “Big Mount” landmark, Hydrofoil Fast Ferry Station landmark, Buddhist temples, Ha Long Road overlooking the coast, The sea-food in this city is very tasty. Overall, Vung Tau is an amazing city and a popular getaway to relax at one of its many beaches.

  1. Con Dao Island

Con Dao is an archipelago off the coast of South Vietnam (Vietnam) and also the provincial district of Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Con Dao Vung Tau City and 97 knots. Con Dao consists of 16 islands and islets with beautiful unspoiled beaches, cool blue water, long sandy beaches and the fresh atmosphere. This is also a national park with primeval forests and rich flora and fauna.

Con Dao is not only a place of study by scientists but also a place for tourists to discover, with the ecotourism program, watching dolphins, sea turtles and coral reefs

  1. Can Gio Mangrove Forest

Can Gio Mangrove Forest also called Sac Forest is a population of animals, plants and aquatic. It was formed on the vast delta of the Dong Nai river, Saigon river, and Vam Co Dong river, and Vam Co Tay river.

UNESCO has recognized Can Gio as a world Mangrove Forest as well as a national destination with diverse flora and fauna typical for mangrove areas.

The Vam Sac and Monkey Island include many interesting activities such as sightseeing bat valley, boating on the river, contacting to many species of birds and wild monkeys.

  1. Cat Tien National Park:

Distance: 160 km from Ho Chi Minh City with a total area of 71.350ha, located in Dong Nam 3, Lam Dong and Binh Phuoc; has abundant and diverse natural resources, it is one of the largest national park in Vietnam. Cat Tien was recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve. Currently, the Cat Tien National Park is setting records for the evaluation Unesco recognized as the world’s natural heritage. Cat Tien National Park has the diversity of flora and fauna.
